Tips to help your child establish a life long love of reading.

~ Establish a special reading routine. ~

~ Timing is important. Be sure your baby isn't fussy and you are in the
mood to read a story. ~

~ Choose a book which is age appropriate for your child and you enjoy as well ~

~ Hold your child so that pictures can be easily seen. ~

~ Allow your child to participate in the reading experience
as much as possible ~

~ Point to and identify things in pictures as you read. ~

~ React positively to your child's attempt to name objects, turn pages,
or speak words. ~

~ Use your voice to make reading exciting and interesting. ~

~ Tune into your child's stages of development. ~

~ Be responsive to your child so that you will know when it is time to
put the book down. ~
