Caroline Library is busy this week!
The Caroline Library is busy this week! May 20, 2013
Good Afternoon,
Kay would like to thank everyone for the well wishes and get well cards after her hip surgery. The healing process is going well and she hopes to be back at the library soon. Even though Kay is not at the library, things are going smoothly and we appreciate all the staff that are working extra hard during her absence.
During National Library week the library asked for donations to send books to our troops. With all the spare change that was dropped in our donation jars we raised enough to send 2 boxes ($20.00). We are in the process of registering with the armed services to send these books, so there is still time if you would like to donate to this cause.
Also during National Library week we introduced book trees at the Bowling Green, Dawn and Ladysmith branches. These trees have titles of new books that we would like to add to the library's collection. Purchased books can be donated in honor or memory of a loved one and this will be noted on a special bookplate placed in the title. Kay was very happy to hear that the Dawn branch has sold 5 books from their book tree!
We would like to remind everyone that the library will be closed on Monday, May 27th in honor of Memorial Day.
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
